LDSGroup was founded in 2002 by Jeff Kobil and Richard Vergara. Recognizing the changing direct marketing landscape, we formed a company that brings a unique set of services to clients looking for new ideas and new ways to meet their goals. Unlike other direct marketing list service firms, LDSGroup is not a list manager nor do we operate a service bureau. Our business model enables us to maximize our resources and call upon “best in class” vendors to help our clients find marketing solutions.

Jeff Kobil - Co-CEO
Prior to co-founding LDSGroup, Jeff was a Vice President with MKTG Services, a company which had acquired his former employer, Stevens-Knox & Associates. Prior to that, Mr. Kobil was a principal with The Kleid Company, Inc. He has over 20 years of list marketing experience and has worked with a variety of clients in publishing, catalog marketing, and financial services. Jeff has served as Chairman of the DMA’s List & Database Council and has spoken at numerous industry events including Direct Marketing Days in New York, the DMA’s Fall Conference and List Vision.

Richard Vergara - Co-CEO
Prior to forming LDSGroup, Richard was a Vice President and Director of the Publishing Group at MKTG Services. He joined MKTG Services in January 1999 when that firm acquired his previous employer, Stevens-Knox & Associates. He was also a principal with The Kleid Company, Inc. He is a past chair of the DMA’s List/Database Council, and served on the Council’s operating committee for more than 10 years. He served as program chair for List Day in 1997. He has organized and taught courses for both New York University and the Direct Marketing Club of NY, and has written and spoken frequently on industry matters.

Nick Sarantakos - Executive Vice President
Nick is a 20+ year list industry veteran in the list brokerage industry. Prior to joining the LDSGroup in March 2005, Nick held senior level positions at MKTG Services and Stevens-Knox and Associates. Nick’s accounts include major clients in publishing, entertainment, continuity, communications and travel fields. His in depth knowledge of direct marketing including new media approaches enables Nick to bring his clients the latest customer acquisition solutions.

Leslie Pulford - Senior Vice President/General Manager, Fundraising Division
Leslie joined the LDSGroup in August of 2007 and is charged with managing the development and growth of the Fundraising Division. Her focus is on providing list brokerage services, including developing mail plans, advising on marketing strategy and providing strategic list recommendations to nonprofit organizations. She brings over 20 years of direct marketing and consumer behavior research experience to this position, including the prior 11 years with Barton-Cotton, Inc. where she provided strategic marketing direction to fundraisers. Her specialty is Catholic fundraising.

Marcia Nachman - Account Executive
With over 15 years or experience on both the list brokerage and list management side, Marcia has a unique background that allows her to deal successfully not only with clients needs but uses her strong vendor relationships to deal with many of the day to day list issues. She is actively involved with many of the major accounts at the LDSGroup. Having joined LDSGroup in March 2005 from MKTG Services, Marcia also worked at Stevens-Knox and Associates, The Kleid Company, and ALC/ Zeller & Letica.

Marsha Strassheim - Account Executive
Marsha has over 15 years of list brokerage experience, having worked at The Kleid Company, Stevens-Knox & Associates, and MKTG Services prior to joining the LDSGroup in January 2003. Marsha has worked on such accounts as Kiplinger, Hume Publishing, TimeLife, Mutual of Omaha, Time Inc. Magazine Company, and G&J USA Publishing.
